Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape & Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces across various properties. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and groundskeeping will ensure that gardens, lawns, trees, and hardscape features are kept in pristine condition. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth and vibrant landscapes. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and snow plows with safety protocol adherence. Conduct tree care tasks including trimming, pruning, and assessing tree health; identify plant species and diagnose horticultural issues. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules; troubleshoot and repair irrigation components as needed. Maintain hardscape features such as walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures; perform minor repairs when necessary. Follow all safety procedures during outdoor work to prevent accidents; document maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of horticulture practices including plant identification, lawn care techniques, and tree care management. Familiarity with operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, power tools, irrigation controllers, and snow removal machinery. Mechanical knowledge related to troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing basic repairs.
