Right-of-Way Groundman

Whitestone Utility Services, LLC is a leading right-of-way maintenance contractor providing vegetation management and utility support services to electric and natural gas companies throughout the Southeast. We are currently seeking motivated, dependable, and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Ground Crew Members supporting tree trimming and vegetation management operations in the Auburn, Georgia area . As a Ground Crew Member, you will play a vital role in maintaining safe and reliable utility corridors by assisting tree trimming crews with daily operations. This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks in support of vegetation management activities along utility rights-of-way.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting tree trimming crews in clearing and maintaining utility rights-of-way. Operating chainsaws, brush cutters, pole saws, and other hand tools in a safe and efficient manner. Removing brush, limbs, and debris from work areas. Assisting with loading and unloading equipment, tools, and materials. Maintaining a clean and organized job site. Following all company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices. Participating in daily job briefings and safety meetings. Working as part of a team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Assisting with traffic control and work zone setup when required. Performing general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in tree trimming, landscaping, forestry, construction, utility services, or outdoor labor is preferred but not required. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and utility infrastructure. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screening requirements.
