Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to enhance landscapes, gardens, and hardscape features. Whether you're involved in planting, trimming, or installing irrigation systems, your efforts will directly contribute to the aesthetic and functional quality of our clients' properties. This paid position is perfect for individuals passionate about horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and snow plows safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects Identify different plant species and perform plant health assessments to support proper horticultural practices Maintain irrigation systems by installing, repairing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal watering schedules Execute hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction elements with precision Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and growth Apply pesticides and fertilizers responsibly following safety guidelines to protect plants and the environment Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping equipment and power tools effectively Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and hardscape construction Ability to identify various plants, trees, and pests to support landscape health management Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting techniques Familiarity with pesticide management practices for safe application Strong understanding of horticulture principles to support plant care routines Construction experience related to landscape projects including excavation work and hardscape installation Ability to operate equipment such as excavators safely on job sites Skilled in using hand tools like shovels, pruners, rakes, as well as power tools for diverse tasks Knowledge of snow plowing procedures during winter months to ensure year-round property maintenance This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills across multiple aspects of landscape work.
