Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in creating and maintaining a pristine, inviting environment for players and visitors alike. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring the golf course remains beautifully landscaped, safe, and well-kept through hands-on maintenance and landscaping tasks. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help uphold the high standards of our course, making every round of golf a memorable experience for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and equipment operation while working outdoors in a dynamic setting. Duties Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course by mowing lawns, trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges using hand tools and power equipment. Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to prevent dry spots or overwatering. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as aerating soil, fertilizing turf, planting new greenery, and applying pesticides safely when needed. Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of materials like soil bags, mulch, or equipment parts to support ongoing course projects. Use chainsaws and other power tools safely for tree trimming, removal of fallen branches, or clearing pathways. Conduct routine maintenance on lawn care equipment and power tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with general gardening duties, including planting flowers or shrubs to enhance course aesthetics while adhering to horticultural best practices. Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of irrigation systems and irrigation management techniques is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely following proper safety protocols. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor activity in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining safety standards across all work areas. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently when needed. Valid driver's license or certification may be advantageous for operating certain equipment or vehicles on-site.
