Ground Crew - Tree Care

A Tree Care Ground Crew plays a vital role in the maintenance and care of trees in various environments, including residential, commercial, and municipal settings. This position involves a combination of physical labor, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities Tree Maintenance :

Assist in the pruning, trimming, and removal of trees and shrubs under the supervision of the arborist

Equipment Operation :

Safely operate and maintain ground equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers and loading and unloading materials.

Safety Compliance :

Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of crew members and the public. Assistance to

Climbers :

Support tree climbers by providing tools, equipment, and materials as needed during tree care operations.

Customer Interaction :

Communicate with clients and the public in a professional manner, answering questions and providing information about tree care services.

Qualifications Physical Fitness :

Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

Experience :

Previous experience in landscaping, forestry, or tree care is preferred but not always required.

Teamwork :

Strong ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented environment.

Safety Awareness :

Familiarity with safety practices and procedures in outdoor work settings. Working Conditions Work is typically performed outdoors in various weather conditions. May require early morning starts and occasional overtime. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
