Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Maintenance Specialist, where your passion for outdoor environments and expertise in groundskeeping will flourish! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty and health of outdoor spaces through skilled landscaping and grounds management. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that parks, commercial properties, or residential landscapes are vibrant, safe, and inviting. Responsibilities Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health; apply appropriate horticultural techniques. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Conduct landscape repairs and installations involving hardscape features like pathways, retaining walls, or decorative elements. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree trimming to maintain year-round landscape aesthetics. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Proficiency in landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, tree care, and pest management (pesticide application). Knowledge of plant identification and horticulture principles for healthy landscape development. Experience with irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, snow plows, excavators, and other construction or groundskeeping machinery safely. Familiarity with safety protocols related to outdoor work environments to ensure a secure workspace for yourself and colleagues. Previous outdoor work experience demonstrating reliability in groundskeeping or landscaping roles is highly valued.
