U MKR Golf Maintenance Grounds Equipment Operator Primary Responsibilities:
Cut grass as required. Edge curbs, sidewalks, and cart paths. Sweep streets, walkways, parking lots with power sweepers. Operate lawn roller in making new lawns; using aerators and sod cutting machines as required. Able to drive trucks over 1 ton and operate other power equipment as directed. Clean and maintain equipment, reporting any problems to mechanics. Keep equipment properly serviced and lubricate, making minor adjustments and repairs. May assist in other grounds or golf course maintenance work as directed.
Essential Job Functions:
Inspect equipment or vehicles and report any unsafe conditions or improperly working parts. Mow grass on fairways, greens, rough as assigned and directed. Edge curbs, sidewalks, and cart paths. Sweep streets, walkways, around golf facilities and parking lots with power sweeper. Operate vehicle over 1 ton. Keep equipment properly serviced, cleaned, lubricated and maintained. Assist in special projects as needed. Complete work assignments in a timely manner. Perform duties following safety procedures and policies. Responsible for the proper use, maintenance and care of tools and equipment. Make minor adjustments and repairs on equipment when needed. Perform duties of grounds section tender when needed. Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Secondary Job Functions:
May assist other positions in the department.
Working Conditions:
Work outdoors in various weather conditions; may be dusty.
Work Hours:
Must be able to work shift and days determined by the manager. Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when needed.
Equipment Use:
Utility vehicle to travel to work area May operate on or more of the following equipment: rough mower, fairway mower, triplex mower or sprayer during most of shift. Various power equipment such as cushion mower, weedeater, edger, blower, and power saw. Various landscape maintenance hand tools such as shears, pick, weedeater, lopper, hand saw, rake, water hose and hedge trimmer.
Mental and Physical Demands:
Able to climb in/out of equipment, sitting and drive equipment while operating gears and foot pedals during most of shift. Able to use hand and power tools when doing section tender work or special projects as needed. Able to lift, carry, push or pull up to and over 50lbs of tools, equipment, or supplies.
Communication Demands:
Must have the ability to communicate verbally with employees and managers.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Must be able to safely operate equipment using hands and feet. Valid driver's license for operation of company vehicles. We appreciate your interest in joining our 'Ohana.
