Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks like mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, edging beds, and applying mulch Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as digging, pruning, and installing irrigation systems Maintain equipment including lawn mowers, trimmers, excavators, and other landscaping machinery through proper care and routine checks Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and staff Conduct general site cleanup after projects to ensure a neat and professional appearance Follow safety protocols consistently while working with machinery, chemicals, and landscaping materials Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and power tools Experience with lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, tree care, irrigation systems, and gardening best practices Ability to use hand tools effectively for planting, trimming, and construction tasks Familiarity with excavators or other construction machinery is a plus for larger landscape projects Understanding of horticulture principles to support healthy plant growth and landscape design Strong work ethic with attention to detail in maintaining landscapes' aesthetic appeal and safety standards This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in landscaping while contributing to vibrant outdoor environments.
