Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard, as well as assisting with various tasks related to the operation of our facility.Duties:
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the yard area
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment
- Sort and organize materials in designated areas
- Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment (training will be provided if necessary)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to handle manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects
- Excellent communication skills
