General Grounds Laborer Lead / Landscaping Crew Assistant

Work will be performed at 1416 6th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201 and at customer worksites within the normal commuting area in Scott County, Iowa and Rock Island County, Illinois. Performs property maintenance tasks in both landscaping and snow removal seasons. Landscaping duties include mowing, edging, pruning, planting, sod installation, mulching, fertilizing, assisting with hardscape installation, and using hand and power tools. Winter duties include snow and ice removal from walkways, driveways, and parking lots using shovels, snow blowers, and spreaders; applying de-icing materials; and supporting seasonal crews as needed. Drives company pickup trucks between job sites; valid standard non-commercial driver\'s license required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, and cold. The worker must have a valid drivers license, which is a standard non-commercial license, to operate company pickup trucks for travel between job sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, snow, and cold), and standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods. Work will be done in multiple work-sites in Scott County, Iowa and Rock Island County, Illinois.

Frequency of the travel:

every work day as needed to do the work described in the job description. Transportation to worksites will be provided by the company at no cost to the workers.

Hours:

This is a full-time, year-round position. Regular work hours are Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During the landscaping season (approximately April through November), work is typically performed during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours as operationally needed. During the winter snow and ice removal season (approximately November through March), workers must be available for evening, early morning, weekend, and on-call shifts, as service timing is dictated by weather events. Schedule varies seasonally based on operational requirements. Overtime is available as needed and will be compensated at the applicable overtime rate in addition to the base annual salary.
