Your Role as a Grounds Maintenance Technician As a Grounds Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the appearance and overall condition of our commercial developments. You'll work closely with the Property Manager to ensure the property remains clean, safe, and welcoming while supporting day-to-day maintenance operations and responding to the needs of the property. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining beautiful properties, and is committed to delivering outstanding service. Key Responsibilities Maintain the overall cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal of the commercial development, including landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, breezeways, and common areas. Perform daily property inspections to remove litter and identify maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with landscaping duties including watering, weed control, and general landscape maintenance. Identify and report property damage, maintenance concerns, and potential safety hazards. Support seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, storm cleanup, and weather preparation as applicable. Perform common area lighting inspections and report deficiencies. Clean vacant retail suites, mechanical rooms, and shared common areas. Complete basic maintenance repairs as assigned. Maintain trash enclosures and monitor compactor operations. Record monthly water meter readings and report findings. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively. Properly maintain and store tools and equipment. Follow all company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards. Our Ideal Candidate for this Role Education High school diploma or GED required. Experience Two or more years of grounds maintenance, commercial property maintenance, landscaping, or related experience preferred. Skills & Attributes Strong communication and customer service skills. Professional and courteous when interacting with tenants, vendors, and the public. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a property maintenance team. Experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment, including blowers, power washers, utility vehicles, and lawn care equipment. Ability to identify maintenance issues and communicate them effectively. Valid driver's license required. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
