Superintendent and Facilities Director Job Goal:
Daily upkeep of all Ballard County School Grounds and light maintenance
Performance Resposibilities:
1. Daily upkeep of grounds include; Preschool, Middle, Vocational, High, Central Office, Bus Garage,Maintenance Building, Family Resource Center. 2. Mowing and trash pick-up at and around the football field during football season. 3. Nature trail acreage and all other open grounds on the campus premises. 4. This job will include the services necessary to keep the grounds in a professional and well maintained appearance. 5. These services will include but not be limited to; bush hogging, topsoil replacement, gravel lot dressings, topsoil replacement, finish mowing, tree/shrub trimming/brush removal/disposal herbicide application, asphalt and concrete sweeping/cleaning. 6. Trash shall be removed from the high school cafeteria and disposed of in the dumpsters daily. 7. The groundskeeper must assist the Facilities Director with the football field maintenance program, including but not limited to aerating, scheduling hebicidal and fertilizer applications and setting irrigation schedules. 8. The proper use of riding mowers, tractors, forklifts, sprayer units, trimmers, hedgers, chainsaws and all other equipment associated with groundskeeping is required. 9. During the mowing off-season the groundskeeper shall assist maintenance with light-duty work and material/janitorial supply deliveries and assist with snow removal and salt spreading during inclement weather. 10. All upkeep and repairs to equipment used in the performance of the job are the responsibility of the groundskeeper. 11. The groundskeeper shall be responsible for performing othere duties as directed by the Facilities Director.
