Groundskeeper

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds, ensuring that the landscape is well-maintained and visually appealing. This role requires a hands-on approach to landscaping tasks, utilizing various tools and equipment to perform essential maintenance duties. Some customer interaction is required, as well. Responsibilities Maintain and care for landscaped areas, including lawns, gardens, and flower beds. Operate power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks. Property clearing with skid steers and other equipment Conduct regular groundskeeping activities such as mowing, trimming, and weeding. Driving trucks with and without trailers Minor building maintenance Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition. Keep work areas clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency. Duties Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools to perform landscape tasks efficiently and safely Install, repair, and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and plant health Conduct regular lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy turf growth Perform landscape maintenance such as pruning, trimming, planting, mulching, and weed control Assist with gardening tasks by planting new flora, transplanting existing plants, and maintaining flower beds Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues related to pests or disease and take appropriate action Support overall landscaping projects by preparing sites, spreading mulch or soil amendments, and ensuring cleanliness of work areas Qualifications Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required. Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools used in landscaping tasks is essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all work performed.
