Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Landscaping Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves performing a variety of groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, and construction tasks to ensure the safety, health, and aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, or public landscapes. Whether you're trimming trees, installing hardscape features, or operating power tools, your efforts will directly contribute to transforming outdoor environments into vibrant, welcoming spaces. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and outdoor project execution while working in a fast-paced, outdoor setting. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including light trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and applying fertilizers or pesticides following safety protocols. Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as blowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery with precision and care. Assist with installation and repair of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and turf areas. Maintain grounds by performing tasks like edging beds, removing debris, mulching landscapes, and managing snow plowing during winter months. Follow safety procedures rigorously during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support construction projects such as installing hardscape features like patios or walkways while adhering to project specifications. Requirements Prior outdoor work experience or background in groundskeeping, landscaping, or construction is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment operation is essential for efficient task completion. Familiarity with plant identification, pest management (including pesticide application), and irrigation systems enhances your ability to maintain healthy landscapes. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lawn care equipment, and grounds maintenance machinery safely and effectively. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments; commitment to maintaining a safe workspace at all times. Excellent physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Knowledge of horticulture principles including gardening techniques and tree care practices is a plus.
