Job Overview Gone Wild Safari is looking for a dependable, hardworking Animal Feeder & Grounds Maintenance Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for the daily care of our outdoor animals by ensuring they are properly fed and watered while helping maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for both the animals and our guests. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks. Job Duties Feed and provide fresh water to all outdoor animals according to established schedules and guidelines. Monitor animals during feeding and report any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior. Clean and maintain feeding and watering equipment. Help maintain animal enclosures and surrounding areas. Mow grass, weed eat, and assist with general landscaping and grounds maintenance. Pick up debris and help keep the safari clean and presentable for guests. Follow all safety procedures and animal handling protocols. Assist with other duties as assigned to support daily safari operations. Required Skills & Qualifications Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, and rainy weather. Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking long distances, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to safely operate lawn maintenance equipment such as mowers and weed eaters. Good observation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with farm animals, livestock, or exotic animals is a plus but not required. Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to follow instructions and safety procedures. Preferred Qualities Enjoys working with animals and being outdoors. Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed. Takes pride in keeping the property clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
