Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the beauty, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, applying your skills in landscape care and maintenance to create inviting environments. Whether maintaining lawns, fences, or operating landscaping equipment, you'll be at the forefront of transforming outdoor areas into pristine, well-kept spaces that inspire and delight. Responsibilities Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, string-trimming, and edging, to keep grass healthy and vibrant Conduct landscape maintenance, primarily pruning and brush removal Repair horse fencing, both electrical and wood (basic carpentry skills needed) Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery to complete landscaping and hardscape projects Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and optimal performance May include odd jobs around the farm, including stacking hay Hours are extremely flexible: once trained, weekly work may be completed independently on any convenient schedule (however, both the work needed, and the opportunities to complete it, may depend on season, weather, plant growth, and equestrian practice schedules) Requirements Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in operating landscaping machinery and hand tools (including 3-point hitch tractors, and zero-turn mowers) Strong lawn care and landscape maintenance skills Ability to work independently while communicating effectively and coordinating schedules Familiarity and comfort working around horses Knowledge of safety procedures related equestrian facilities and equipment operation Physical stamina for independent outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor effectively Join us in creating stunning outdoor working environments!
