Job Description

Groundskeeper / Maintenance Technician We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Groundskeeper / Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of a residential community. This role is responsible for assisting with property upkeep, apartment turns, grounds maintenance, work orders, and ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and well maintained for residents and staff. The ideal candidate has general maintenance experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Complete daily maintenance work orders and routine repairs Prepare apartment homes for new move-ins and unit turns within designated timelines Perform general maintenance including basic plumbing, painting, appliance repairs, carpentry, and minor electrical work Maintain cleanliness of common areas, exterior grounds, and building spaces Assist with seasonal responsibilities including snow removal, salting, lawn care, pruning, and landscaping upkeep Support preventative maintenance efforts and property inspections Maintain maintenance shops, storage areas, and mechanical rooms in a clean and safe condition Assist with trash removal and overall site appearance Coordinate with the Maintenance Superintendent and Property Manager regarding repairs and property needs Participate in emergency on-call rotation as needed Provide coverage at other properties when required Qualifications Previous maintenance, janitorial, groundskeeping, or handyman experience preferred Experience in residential or multifamily property maintenance is a plus Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently Strong communication and customer service skills Spanish-speaking preferred Valid driver's license preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in various weather conditions Schedule Full-time Monday - Friday On-call rotation may be required Compensation $20/hour | Full-time Benefits - What We Offer 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) Company-wide holidays Your birthday off to celebrate Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) plan Paid holidays Tuition reimbursement Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity within our workforce.
