In this role, you'll be at the forefront of creating, maintaining, and enhancing beautiful gardens, lawns, and green areas. Your expertise will help transform outdoor environments into thriving, lush landscapes that inspire and delight. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills in gardening and landscape maintenance, and contribute to environmentally sustainable projects. Duties Plant, prune, fertilize, and care for a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns using hand tools and power tools to ensure healthy growth. Install and maintain irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency across different landscapes. Operate lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, mulching, and soil preparation to keep outdoor spaces pristine. Assist with greenhouse operations by planting seedlings, managing growing conditions, and ensuring plants are healthy and thriving. Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases early; apply horticultural treatments as needed. Support farming or gardening projects by preparing beds, sowing seeds or seedlings, and harvesting crops when applicable. Collaborate with team members to plan landscape designs that incorporate sustainable practices like native planting or water conservation strategies. Experience Prior experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is highly desirable; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Familiarity with greenhouse operations and growing techniques will be beneficial. Hands-on experience with lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools is preferred. Understanding of landscape maintenance best practices including pruning, fertilizing, soil management, and pest control. Basic farming or agriculture experience helps in supporting larger-scale planting or crop management projects. Ability to operate hand tools safely while adhering to safety protocols is crucial for a productive work environment.
