Jobs › East Sandwich, MA › Maintenance Groundskeeper Riverview School Maintenance Groundskeeper East Sandwich, MA Apply The Maintenance Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, & functionality of outdoor grounds & associated facilities. This role involves landscaping, lawn care, seasonal cleanup, minor repairs, snow plowing, snow removal, & the operation of groundskeeping equipment to ensure all exterior areas are clean, well-kept, & visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities:
Mow, edge, trim, & fertilize lawns & landscaped areas Plant, prune, & care for trees, shrubs, flowers, & plants Maintain walkways, parking areas, fences, & outdoor structures Remove debris, leaves, snow, & ice as required by season Snow removal & plowing Prepare athletic fields & outdoor areas for school events, sports, & ceremonies Operate & maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, snow removal equipment, etc.) Perform basic maintenance & minor repairs on tools, equipment, & facilities Identify & report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns Assist with setup & cleanup for outdoor events when needed Work collaboratively with maintenance & facilities staff Qualifications:
Legal authority to work in the US High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience preferred Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques & equipment operation Ability to safely handle tools, chemicals, & machinery Valid driver\'s license may be required Ability to work independently & follow instructions Ability to pass required background checks for employment in a boarding school environment CPR/AED/Standard First Aid certified or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail Time-management & organizational skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physical stamina & strength for lifting, bending, & prolonged standing Basic problem-solving skills Physical Requirements:
