In this energetic position, you will assist with various landscaping projects, ensuring that residential and commercial landscapes thrive and look their best. Your hands-on work will involve operating tools, supporting landscape construction, and performing routine maintenance to bring outdoor visions to life. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction while contributing to vibrant, healthy environments. Duties Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging tasks Conduct lawn care activities such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain lush green spaces Perform landscape maintenance tasks including tree care, pruning, mulching, and seasonal snow plowing when needed Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored Skills Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping machinery and power tools effectively Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, planting, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation Ability to use hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) safely and efficiently in various outdoor tasks Familiarity with construction processes related to landscaping projects like excavation or installing hardscape features Understanding of horticulture principles for plant health and landscape aesthetics Ability to perform tree care including trimming and pruning safely with proper techniques Willingness to learn about snow plowing operations during winter months for year-round employment support Join us in transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant environments!
