Job Description
ENHANCEMENT LABORER
Responsible for working as a team member under the direct supervision of the Landscape Construction Site Supervisor. Responsible for completing construction landscape installation jobs in an efficient manner promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibiting pride and quality workmanship.ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
- Follows direction from Foreman and Crew Leader with Landscape Maintenance Enhancement work.
- Clears and back fills ditches and trenches for irrigation and drains.
- Digs and back fills holes for plants, trees, and shrubs.
- Performs handwork as necessary using a pick, shovel, rake, or other hand tools.
- Performs erosion control.
- Execute landscape design installation including laying sod, digging holes and trenches, and moving soil and mulch.
- Carries materials (e.g., sod, rocks, and plants).
- Waters trees and plants..
- Maintains tools and equipment to ensure safety.
- Perform general clean up and final grading.
- Complete basic landscape maintenance activities.
- Landscape construction such as installation of hardscape paver patios and walkways, and walls.
- Operates powered equipment.
- Provides excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to clients, work-site partners, and Company staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Understand and meet production and project schedule deadlines without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality.
- Assist with masonry work, as may be needed.
SECONDARY ELEMENTS
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ year landscaping experience.
- 1+ year landscape construction experience (preferred).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's license
- Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including mini-excavators, and skid steer machinery with various attachments; other construction equipment as needed.
- Knowledge and experience with installing a variety of hardscape applications.
- Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Time Management skills and ability to work long hours.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Clean and Professional appearance.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Hoisting license, DOT, OSHA Certification.
- Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
- Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions from Foreman or Crew Leader.
- Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment.
- Must wear company eye and ear protection as required.
- Valid Driver's license required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Physical demands require constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
