This hands-on role is essential to keeping common areas clean, safe, and welcoming. Role Overview As a Groundskeeper, you will maintain community green spaces by mowing, raking, weeding, clearing walkways, caring for plants and trees, and ensuring outdoor areas remain safe and inviting. You will work closely with the Foreman, Climate Corps Fellow, residents, and volunteers to support community stewardship and enhance the neighborhood's appearance and health. Key Responsibilities Maintain lawns, landscaping, and green spaces through mowing, trimming, raking, and seasonal upkeep. Pick up litter and debris to ensure clean, safe public areas. Care for plants, flowers, and trees, including watering, pruning, soil care, and monitoring plant health. Apply pesticides and herbicides safely and responsibly. Repair and maintain irrigation systems. Operate, transport, clean, and maintain tools and equipment. Support community cleanup days, including occasional weekend work. Collaborate with residents and volunteers to promote pride and connection in shared outdoor spaces. Qualifications Ability to perform physical outdoor labor in all weather conditions. Prior landscaping, gardening, or maintenance experience required. Familiarity with yard equipment and basic repair. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods. Knowledge of plant and tree care; willingness to learn advanced horticulture practices. Reliable transportation to move equipment between sites. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming community spaces. Salary & Benefits Hourly rate of $15
