We are a fast-growing lawn care and landscaping contractor in the Baltimore area. We are looking for hard working and reliable individuals to help us continue to grow. There is plenty of room for advancement for those individuals willing to put their hard work, time and skills to the test. We provide a large scope of residential and commercial services that range from lawn maintenance, fertilization, landscape maintenance, landscape installation, hardscape construction, Christmas tree sales and snow removal.
LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION TEAM LEADER
Position Summary:
Applicants MUST Have 3 years of professional landscaping experience and Valid Driver's License to be considered Reports to management on job and team performance. Ensures the job is completed in timely manner and high quality of work. Fills out appropriate paperwork each day. Able to walkthrough and follow up with client's requests.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Be an ambassador for the company and a resource for customers. Able to communicate with client and follow up on requests Plan and manage the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers including team members, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectives Build patios, retaining walls and other hardscape structures Perform advanced landscape installations duties including grading, small excavation and drainage Perform general landscape planting including turf grass, sod, bushes, shrubs, trees, flowers as directed. Perform general landscape maintenance duties including mulching, pruning, mowing, string trimming, leaf removal, general debris and trash clean up, May be required to clear areas that are wildly overgrown with vegetation. Ability to use several types of power or hand tools to help them perform their tasks like chain saws, string trimmers, hedge trimmers and other small landscape equipment. Occasional application of herbicides and pesticides. Supervise the work of team members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues Train team members on proper and safe job methods Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment Assist in other job-related duties including construction projects, shop and yard maintenance, vehicle and equipment maintenance Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis. Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner Comply with all company policies and regulations Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Summary:
Applicants must Have Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to/from work Ability to drive small dump trucks and trailers Applicants must have 3 years of professional landscaping experience Ability to effectively and safely use small machinery (mini track loaders, skid loaders and mini-excavators) Applicants must be enthusiastic and dependable, and able to work safely Ability to communicate and work well with clients, management and team members. Able to follow up with client requests in a timely manner. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and/or oral instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Organized and professional in appearance and action. Ability to frequently lift 80+ lbs. Ability to work in wet rainy conditions, humidity, full sun, extreme heat and cold. Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, lift, push and pull materials and equipment; ability to work in various positions including but not limited to, standing, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods. Ability to work flexible hours
