Job Description

Job Overview DC Ponds is a growing specialty company dedicated exclusively to ponds and water features. We focus on the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of residential ponds, ensuring they remain healthy, functional, and visually stunning. In addition to our service work, we design and install our own custom fountain line, Vessel , and frequently collaborate with landscape designers to create distinctive outdoor environments. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering reliable, high-quality service As a Water Gardener, you are the guardian of the ecosystem. Your primary mission is to ensure the overall health, clarity, and beauty of our clients' water gardens and ponds.
Seasonal Timeline Duration:
August through December (Late Summer into Fall/Winter preparation)
Key Responsibilities:
Aquatic Plant Care:
Planting, pruning, fertilizing, and managing various water plants (lilies, lotus, tropicals, etc.) to ensure they thrive.
Ecosystem Management:
Monitoring water quality and fish health to maintain a balanced environment.
System Maintenance:
Cleaning filters, skimmers, and ensuring pumps and waterfalls are flowing perfectly.
Aesthetics:
Removing debris and algae to keep ponds looking pristine and "picture perfect." What You Bring to the
Table Valid Driver's License:
Must have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record .
A Green Thumb:
Experience in gardening or landscaping (aquatic experience is a huge plus, but we are willing to train someone with a strong horticultural background).
Outdoor Stamina:
You enjoy working outside in various weather conditions and are comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Attention to

Reliability:
Our clients count on us to keep their ponds healthy; we need someone who shows up ready to dive in.
Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record? This is a seasonal position running from August through December. Are you available to work for the duration of this timeframe? Are you comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly?
