Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time / As Needed Landscape Laborer and bring outdoor spaces to life! This energetic role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work in a variety of outdoor environments, from residential gardens to commercial landscapes. You will play a vital part in maintaining beautiful, safe, and functional landscapes by performing hands-on grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Support hardscape projects by helping with excavation, stonework, or installation of features like pathways or retaining walls. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests; assist with plant health assessments and basic pest management procedures. Maintain safety protocols by using personal protective equipment (PPE), following proper procedures for pesticide application, and adhering to safety guidelines during all outdoor work activities. Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, or planting under supervision while ensuring safety standards are met. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience preferred; familiarity with landscape maintenance or gardening is a plus. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment operation is highly desirable. Ability to identify plants and understand basic horticultural practices. Experience with irrigation systems, pesticide management, or hardscape installation is advantageous. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions; physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing manual labor. Knowledge of safety protocols related to power tools, hand tools, construction equipment such as excavators (if applicable), and grounds maintenance machinery. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping and groundskeeping.
