Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time gardener or weeder to join our dynamic landscaping team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces by performing gardening, weeding, and landscape upkeep tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work outdoors, apply horticultural knowledge, and contribute to the aesthetic and ecological health of various landscapes. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for gardening, strong work ethic, and a passion for cultivating vibrant environments. Responsibilities Perform regular weeding to control invasive plants and promote healthy growth of native and cultivated plants Assist with landscape maintenance including pruning, planting, mulching, and soil preparation Operate hand tools such as pruners, hoes, rakes, and shovels efficiently and safely Use power tools and grounds maintenance equipment to support lawn care and landscaping projects Identify various plant species, including native plants, and monitor their health status Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed Apply pesticides or plant pest control measures following safety protocols and regulations Support growing projects by planting new vegetation and maintaining existing garden beds Communicate effectively with clients regarding garden care needs and project updates Skills Proven experience with greenhouse management and landscape maintenance techniques Strong knowledge of horticulture principles, plant identification, and gardening best practices Familiarity with pesticide management, plant pest control, and sustainable farming practices Ability to operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems Experience climbing ladders or structures safely for pruning or landscape tasks Knowledge of native plants' characteristics and their role in ecological landscaping Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for client interaction and teamwork Growing experience in agriculture or farming environments is a plus Join us in creating lush, thriving outdoor spaces! Pay:
$23.90 - $28.79 per hour
