Key Responsibilities Horticultural Care:
Manage the planting, pruning, weeding, and general upkeep of formal gardens, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and seasonal displays.
Turf Management:
Oversee lawn care, including precision mowing, edging, aeration, fertilizing, and weed control.
Irrigation & Water Management:
Monitor, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting on irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for various plant species.
Pest & Disease Control:
Proactively identify plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies. Implement safe, effective treatment plans (organic or integrated pest management preferred).
Seasonal Transitions:
Manage spring openings and fall closings, including winterization of sensitive plants, leaf removal, and planting of seasonal bulbs or annuals.
Hardscape & Cleanliness:
Keep driveways, walkways, patios, and garden structures immaculate and free of debris, weeds, or moss.
Equipment & Inventory:

Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:
3-5+ years of professional gardening or landscaping experience, preferably on a private estate, high-end commercial property, or botanical garden.
Horticultural Knowledge:

Equipment Proficiency:
Safe and skilled operation of standard landscaping power tools and machinery.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold), lift up to 50 lbs, and perform strenuous physical labor daily.
Licensing:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Relevant horticultural certifications or a degree in Botany/Horticulture is a strong plus.
