Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our landscapes, ensuring that all grounds are well-kept and inviting. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for outdoor work, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including weeding, trimming, and watering lawns. Maintain flower beds, gardens, and other planted areas by planting, watering, weeding, and mulching as necessary. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various groundskeeping tasks. Irrigate lawns and gardens to ensure proper hydration levels are maintained. Monitor the health of plants and turf, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases. Assist in seasonal landscaping projects including planting new trees, shrubs, or flowers. Maintain cleanliness of grounds by removing debris and litter from walkways and common areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Experience Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required. Familiarity with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and power tools like leaf blowers and trimmers is essential. Knowledge of lawn care practices including fertilization, pest control, and irrigation systems is advantageous. A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
