We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team. This "hands-on" position is responsible for maintaining the grounds and facility needs for multiple private businesses & residential properties. Ensuring a clean and visually appealing environment for visitors, customers & personnel. What You'll Do Property/Facility Oversight & Assistance Perform grounds keeping duties such as mowing, edging, mulching, debris removal, fertilizing & irrigation of lawns. Plant and maintain flowers, trees, and shrubs. Operate power tools and hand tools to trim, edge, and prune landscaping. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks as required. Perform checklist and services work for assigned properties (preparing homes for arrival, troubleshooting problems, landscaping, etc.) Also perform spring and fall checklists and closing duties of assigned properties. Schedule, meet and coordinate efforts with outside vendors for special projects, maintenance needs or seasonal work needs. Obtain quotes and review with management. Tasks range from lawnmowing, spreading mulch & fall clean up. To changing lightbulbs, fixing a sink, or fixing trim work and painting. A great opportunity that offers a lot of variety! Work closely with management and other team leaders, informing them of important issues and proposing creative solutions that impact the facility or properties. Assist with grounds preparation and support of special events (including being onsite for events as needed) that take place at the residence or facility.
Light facility maintenance:
troubleshooting & fixing, painting, replacing filters, etc. Perform special projects or duties as requested. What You'll Bring Previous maintenance experience. Ability to troubleshoot and develop a solution. Position requires travel; must be able to travel by automobile. Valid driver's license required. (all sites are within a 10mile radius) Attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in daily routine is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to prioritize and to work independently. Must possess basic computer skills. Must be a responsible, dedicated, and dependable person of highest integrity; organized and reliable; positive in attitude; and one who demonstrates pride in the service which he/she provides. Responsibilities are conducted at the facilities of the private company and at the homes of the owner. While an employer/employee relationship exists, it is important that the employee is genuinely committed to being part of the team whose goal is to positively contribute to a safe home & safe work environment. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience with landscaping and general maintenance. Knowledge of lawn care techniques and plant maintenance. Ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively & safely. Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely. Experience in to pull a utility trailer/hauling equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a neat and organized outdoor space. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and outside vendors. General maintenance / mechanical inclined. Essential Physical Demands Ability to lift thirty (30) pounds to maximum height of six (6) feet; occasional lifting up to eighty (80) pounds. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and remain standing on feet for lengthy periods of time. Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions lengthy periods of time.
