In this energetic position, you will assist with a variety of landscaping projects, including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and hardscape installation. Your hands-on work will contribute to creating inviting gardens, well-maintained lawns, and stunning outdoor features. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, construction, and landscape design while working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep landscapes vibrant and healthy Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning trees and shrubs, and applying mulch or soil amendments Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, planting, and installing landscape features Support hardscape projects by preparing sites for pavers, retaining walls, or patios using excavators and other construction equipment Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removing dead or hazardous branches with proper techniques Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and making necessary adjustments to ensure proper watering Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients and team members Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred Ability to operate small machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is a plus Knowledge of horticulture principles and tree care techniques is advantageous Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions Willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping, irrigation systems, hardscape installation, and snow removal This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in landscaping while contributing to beautiful outdoor environments.
