Job Description

MINIMUM AGE
: 18 years
PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT
: Mystic Creek Golf Course, Camp Dearborn in Milford
HOURS/PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT
: Seasonal position - during the months of March - November. The golf course is a seven-day operation. The schedule for this position will vary and will include weekends and holidays. Extended time off during this period is extremely limited.
NOTE:
As a Mystic Creek employee you will receive a free season pass to Camp Dearborn; discounts on food/beverage and apparel; discounts on golf and golf equipment.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
: This is a routine unskilled laborer position. The employee performs a variety of tasks, which vary depending on assignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: (Functions essential to attaining job objectives): Physically transports heavy objects for an extended period of time. Loads and unloads heavy objects for an extended period of time. Maintains grounds and landscaping, i.e. cutting grass and maintaining property. Maintains equipment, i.e. painting, cleaning, periodic maintenance of equipment. Works outdoors in extreme heat, rain or other unfavorable weather conditions. Follows verbal and written instruction. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work independently. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Ability to operate a riding lawn mower and other grounds keeping equipment.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
: Must possess a valid driver license.
POST-EMPLOYMENT OFFER REQUIREMENTS
Satisfactory completion of background check (including sex offender registry if applicable) and a pre-employment physical and drug screen that tests for illegal drugs as defined by the Federal Drug Free Workplace Act but not those legalized under Michigan law.
