Enjoy the outdoors, get exercise, and be a part of our friendly, positive, and hardworking crew! We are looking for a property maintenance crew member to help support our flower and branch farm. We are flexible with school schedules for this part time position. No experience required and Gardening / Horticulture training provided! Mowing and trimming experience required Flexible scheduling Job description: Property Crew Member Reports and takes instruction from the Farm Manager. This position requires you to assist with the maintenance and property development of Mary Berry's Gardening Prop erty and branch fields. This will include mowing, string trimming and hand weeding. Knowledge of a riding mower, push mower and string trimmer preferred. Interest in learning other tractors. Must be able to exercise good judgment. Must have a commitment to teamwork and delivering great service. Should be comfortable interacting with customers and working in a customer service environment. Must clean and maintain equipment, trucks, and trailers. You will be assigned barn duties that must be attended to regularly. Since this is a shared space, you will be expected to care for all areas so it is ready for the next person who needs it. Ability to operate small gardening equipment and machinery safely (hedgers, blowers, mowers, trailers, and other equipment.) Experience operating small tractors and skid steers would be a bonus. Must have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record required.
Physical Requirements:
• Repetitively lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently. Work is conducted in all types of weather, from heat to wind to wet and cold. Therefore, it's expected that property crew members will be able to work in these different climate extremes, and will be prepared to do so. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach overhead, and kneel. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time and climb hills, stairs, ladders, etc. as needed. This work is 2 days a week, and we are flexible on which days, Tuesday-Friday. This is a seasonal position and will end in October.
