Job Description

CurbSide is seeking experienced and dependable Lawn Crew Leaders to manage 2-3 person crews performing weekly grounds maintenance services for our commercial clients. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires reliability, efficiency, and a commitment to quality work. From early April to late November, tasks include mowing with zero-turn and stand-on mowers, whipping, pruning, edging, spraying for weeds, and backpack blowing. During the spring and fall, crews focus on leaf and debris cleanup. In the winter, most Lawn Crew Leaders stay on full-time—working in the shop during the day and assisting with snow removal when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a crew of 2-3 team members Perform and oversee mowing, trimming, pruning, edging and blowing tasks Ensure quality and efficiency on all commercial maintenance jobs Communicate effectively with managers and crew members Operate and maintain lawn equipment properly and safely Transition into winter responsibilities, including daytime shop work and snow removal Weed spraying using herbicide equipment in compliance with safety guidelines Hand-pulling weeds in planting beds, walkways, and other detailed areas as needed Valid driver's license with a good driving record Must be able to pass a drug screening Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in lawn care or similar area Valid MN Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator License (We can assist you in obtaining this if needed) Proven ability to effectively lead a crew and ensure quality work
Physical Requirements:
Able to remain on feet for long periods of time Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and rain Able to lift/push up to 75 lbs. multiple times per day
