Job Description

We are looking for a dependable grounds crew worker to perform general maintenance on the golf course. Work typically starts early in the morning to beat the heat, but your schedule must be flexible to accommodate for changing weather conditions or tournaments, plus be available to work weekends when needed. The grounds crew perform routine maintenance of the golf course including but not limited to; operating small walk-behind and riding mowing equipment, raking bunkers, landscaping, and construction projects, use of hand tools related to maintenance, and occasional operation of tractors and loaders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Daily course set-up including: mowing greens and tee boxes, raking bunkers, setting tee markers, mowing fairways & roughs, cutting cups, and hand watering greens. Assisting crew members in the application of fertilizers and chemical applications under supervision of a licensed applicator. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while working around members and guests. Assisting with a variety of projects on the golf course related to construction including drainage installation, silt fence installation and maintenance, erosion matting, hydro-seeding, laying or hand watering new sod, seeding greens or tees, leveling irrigation heads, and bunker maintenance. Ground crew members will learn to understand expected golf course conditions and will report to their supervisor of any potential problems. Ensure all tools, equipment, vehicles and supplies are properly used, maintained, and stored. Maintains positive interactions with club members and guests, providing a high level of customer service. Perform any and all duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent, or other members of the senior management team, as deemed appropriate.
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
