Job Description
Trufast Tree Service is a locally trusted tree care company committed to safety, professionalism, and a healthy work environment. We handle everything from tree removals and trimming to emergency services and stump grinding. We're looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our field crew and grow with us. Position Overview As a Groundsman , you'll support our tree care operations by assisting climbers and equipment operators with ground-level tasks. This role is critical to keeping the job site clean, safe, and efficient. It's a physically demanding, hands-on position perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a team, and learning new skills in the tree care industry. Key Responsibilities Assist climbers and crew leaders during tree removal, trimming, and pruning operations Load and unload tools and equipment from trucks Drag brush, wood, and debris to the chipper and operate the chipper safely Use hand tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, rakes, and blowers Set up and maintain safe work zones, including cones, signs, and flagging Clean up job sites thoroughly after each project Perform equipment and tool maintenance as directed Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Drug free, including THC Valid driver's license (CDL a plus but not required) Ability to lift 50-75 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions Basic knowledge of chainsaws and other landscaping tools (training provided) Strong work ethic and reliability Safety-conscious and team-oriented attitude Experience in landscaping, tree care, or outdoor labor preferred but not required What We Offer Competitive hourly pay with opportunities for overtime On-the-job training and opportunities to advance (Climber, Crew Leader, etc.) Safe and supportive work environment Company-provided safety gear and equipment Profit share plan after three months
