OPEN POSITION

Groundskeeper

•Seasonal

PAY RATE STARTING AT

$19.97/hour

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To provide support to the grounds maintenance crew.

This is a seasonal position

•March

•November

Requires use of simple tools to maintain grounds including planting, cultivating, pruning and cutting plants, trees, shrubs, grass and flowers. Cuts lawns, trims, edges and prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth. Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs. Waters lawn, shrubs and flowers. Removes damages leaves, branches and twigs. Rakes and composts or disposes of leaves.

Prepare facilities/grounds for district and community events.

Cleans grounds and removes litter.

Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience in general construction and maintenance work.

Knowledge of basic hand and power tools grounds maintenance repairs.

Experience in the operation of a snowplow and backhoe.

Knowledge of use and purpose of power and common hand tools.

Some experience in the care and maintenance of plants, trees, flowers and shrubs is preferred.

Possess and maintain a valid Missouri Driver's License.

$19.97 to $24.97 Per Hour
