Outdoor, campus grounds Penmac Staffing is hiring a University Groundskeeper to support a local client in maintaining the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of a college campus. This is an active, hands-on role that is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in keeping spaces neat and well-maintained. The position starts as a temporary job with the opportunity to become long-term and be hired on by the client. Requirements for the University Groundskeeper Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Comfortable performing physical labor including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Able to follow instructions and work independently or with a team Previous landscaping, grounds, or general labor experience preferred but not required Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screen University Groundskeeper Responsibilities Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas Plant, water, weed, and care for flower beds, shrubs, and green spaces Pick up litter and maintain sidewalks, parking lots, and common outdoor areas Assist with trash collection and general cleanup tasks Operate basic landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers Perform light maintenance and general labor tasks as assigned Support seasonal needs including leaf removal, snow/ice removal, and storm cleanup Follow all safety procedures and perform basic equipment care Why Penmac Penmac Staffing offers affordable health insurance options with no waiting period!
