Job Description

Position Summary The Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, health, and playability of the golf course. This includes turf care, irrigation management, equipment operation, and general landscaping duties. This position is a part-time role compensated at an hourly rate of $15.00 , working both WEEKDAYS and
WEEKENDS
accordingly . Please note that compensation should not be disclosed to any employee other than owner and designated supervisors. Employee expectations Follow all job duties, assignments, and directions as outlined by management Adhere to all instructions provided by supervisors in a timely and respectful manner Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team player Collaborate and communicate responsively with fellow grounds workers and staff Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a productive work environment Exercise accountability, punctuality, and consistency in daily responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Mow greens, tees, and fairways using proper techniques and equipment Maintain fairways with specialized mowing patterns (vertical, horizontal, diagonal, and split patterns) at appropriate heights Operate irrigation systems and troubleshoot/repair irrigation issues Apply fertilizers and navigate all forms of turf treatment safely and effectively Operate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on all grounds equipment Plant and maintain different grass types Manage and maintain greens, tees, and rough areas of fairways Change green cups and maintain proper placement standards Repair dead or damaged areas in greens Cut and lay sod as needed Additional Duties Cut tree limbs and assist with storm or debris cleanup Remove weeds and maintain landscaped areas Pick up trash and maintain course cleanliness Apply mulch to landscaped areas Trim bushes and hedges Perform weed eating/edging as needed Qualifications Ability to operate landscaping and turf equipment Basic knowledge (or willingness to learn) irrigation systems Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality grounds Willingness to obtain Herbicide and Pesticide License (required for advancement)
