Job Description

Job Summary I am looking for a lively individual who is genuinely interested in working with the soil and wants to learn gardening. The tasks involve maintaining extensive flower beds and borders, as well as a small vegetable garden. The right candidate will learn from a master gardener who has been gardening for many years.
The tasks would include:
Planting, collecting seeds, propagating, weeding, edging beds and grass, mulching, composting, deadheading flowers, pruning perennials, roses, and trees, safe management of garden pests, companion planting, and anything to do with maintaining a flower garden and growing vegetables. You will learn how to do these tasks professionally, and the hours are flexible. You will need to be able to dig and do some of the tasks I am unable to do. If you have neck, back, or knee issues, this type of work is not for you, and could make your condition worse. Clear-up and attention to detail are important: cleaning tools and putting them away, sharpening blades on pruners, sterilizing, etc., and strimming edges to keep the flower beds weed-free and neat is expected. Please only apply if you are interested in this type of work and want to learn.
