Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in creating pristine, playable, and visually stunning golf course environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing a variety of groundskeeping skills to maintain the beauty and functionality of the course. You will be responsible for ensuring the course meets high standards of turf health, safety, and aesthetics, contributing to an exceptional experience for golfers of all skill levels. Responsibilities Perform routine turf management including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration to promote healthy grass growth. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and power tools safely and efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, weed control, and pest management to uphold course aesthetics. Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting, ground leveling, and debris removal to keep pathways and playing areas clear. Maintain safety standards by adhering to power tool safety protocols and proper equipment maintenance procedures. Assist with seasonal preparations and ongoing groundskeeping projects to ensure the course remains in top condition year-round. Requirements Prior experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field groundskeeping is highly preferred. Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment including lawn mowers, power tools, chainsaws, and company vehicles responsibly. Strong manual handling skills with physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor labor in various weather conditions. Familiarity with power tool safety practices and equipment maintenance routines. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to landscaping and gardening tasks. Valid driver's license or ability to operate company vehicles as needed.
