Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Grounds Maintenance Technician at our prestigious golf course, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of the course grounds. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, Irrigation systems, and groundskeeping equipment will ensure an exceptional playing environment for our members and guests. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing your skills in horticulture, gardening, and landscaping to create a beautiful and sustainable golf course setting. Your dedication to safety, equipment maintenance, and efficient grounds care will help uphold the high standards of our club. Duties Operate and maintain golf course groundskeeping equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, walk mowing, weeding, edging, raking, aerating, and watering to promote healthy turf and vibrant landscaping. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of soil, mulch, or equipment parts to support landscaping projects. Use hand tools and power tools safely for routine groundskeeping activities while adhering to all safety guidelines. Operate utility vehicles for transportation of equipment, supplies, or personnel around the golf course property. Qualifications Prior experience in golf course groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, or athletic field groundskeeping is preferred. Knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care practices, and horticulture principles. Ability to operate ground maintenance and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently; familiarity with chainsaws and power tools is a plus. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Understanding of power tool safety protocols and routine equipment maintenance procedures. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar machinery preferred. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to landscape care and turf management. Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently while working independently or as part of a team.
