Job Description

Immediate Hire | 18 hours/week (Mon/Wed/Fri, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) A private estate in Rye, NH is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gardener to join the team for a seasonal, part-time opportunity. This role is ideal for a passionate horticultural professional who takes pride in fine gardening and thrives working outdoors in a hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance ornamental gardens with a focus on plant health and aesthetics Perform skilled hand pruning of shrubs and trees, with proper timing and technique Identify and care for perennials, shrubs, and trees common to New England Apply fertilizers and soil amendments to support plant vitality Assist with planting, transplanting, and dividing perennials Create and maintain seasonal container plantings Hand water garden beds and containers during dry or hot conditions Monitor plants for signs of stress, pests, or disease and communicate observations Support overall garden quality with attention to detail and craftsmanship Qualifications 3-5+ years of hands-on gardening or horticulture experience Strong plant identification knowledge (ornamental species preferred) Proven experience with fine gardening techniques and pruning practices Passion for plants, gardening, and outdoor work Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Schedule & Location Part-Time (18 hours/week): Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 9:00 AM - 3:00
