Part-Time Pet Sitter & Dog Walker

Little Bay Pet Services is seeking a dependable and motivated Pet Caregiver to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This role primarily supports midday pet visits in Rye, Portsmouth, New Castle, and nearby surrounding communities. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with animals and can provide attentive, reliable care while maintaining a professional and positive experience for our clients. About the Position As a Pet Caregiver, you will travel to client homes and provide quality care for pets during daytime visits. This role combines pet care responsibilities with customer service and requires someone who is comfortable working independently. Key Responsibilities Walk dogs and support their daily activity needs Feed pets and refresh water as needed Provide companionship and attention during visits Give medications when required (training available; injection experience is helpful) Monitor pets and report any unusual behavior or concerns Perform small household tasks such as collecting mail, watering plants, or completing basic home checks Use a mobile app to send updates and photos after visits Schedule Part-time daytime hours, typically between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Weekend availability required (rotating schedules may be available) Availability during holidays and school vacation periods is preferred Location Requirements Must live in or close to Rye, Portsmouth, or New Castle, NH Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Comfortable driving locally and working outdoors in changing weather conditions Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Comfortable around animals and confident handling dogs of different sizes Able to manage dogs up to 120 lbs Dependable and able to work independently Organized and attentive to detail Professional and clear in communication Trustworthy and reliable Basic Requirements Smartphone for communication and scheduling purposes Reliable vehicle and transportation Ability to successfully complete a background check What We Provide Flexible part-time scheduling within established daytime hours Paid onboarding and training Opportunities for tips and performance-based incentives Liability, bonding, and workers' compensation coverage Casual work attire A rewarding role working with pets and building relationships with clients About Little Bay Pet Services Little Bay Pet Services is committed to providing dependable in-home pet care while creating a supportive environment for team members.
