In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing residential, commercial, and public landscapes through skilled landscaping, lawn care, and garden maintenance. Pay varies based on experience, skill level, and familiarity with landscaping equipment and outdoor maintenance. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as trimming trees, installing irrigation systems, or laying hardscape features like patios and walkways Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for landscaping projects requiring excavation or site preparation Maintain lawns and gardens through mowing, aeration, weed control, and seasonal clean-up activities like snow plowing during winter months Conduct tree care including trimming, pruning, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetic appeal Assist with landscape construction projects by installing features like retaining walls, pathways, or garden beds in collaboration with team members Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use to maximize safety and longevity of tools and machinery Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture best practices Ability to perform landscape construction tasks including hardscape installation and site preparation Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance to support healthy plant growth Skilled in tree care techniques such as trimming and pruning to ensure safety and aesthetics Familiarity with snow plowing operations during winter seasons for year-round landscape upkeep Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions along with attention to detail for quality results Operate ride-on mowers and other landscaping equipment with care and attention to safety while maintaining high-quality lawn appearance.
