Duties Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers and push mowers to ensure a neat, uniform appearance. Trim trees and shrubs with hand tools or power equipment like hedge trimmers and chainsaws to promote healthy growth. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, fertilizing, watering, and mulching to enhance garden aesthetics. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators or skid steers for hardscape installation or land grading projects. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients. Assist with general construction and landscaping projects by using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain lawn care equipment and power tools. Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or related outdoor work. Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and horticulture principles. Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and wheelbarrows confidently. Experience with heavy machinery like excavators or tree care equipment is a plus. Knowledge of irrigation systems, snow plowing techniques, tree trimming practices, and general maintenance procedures. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions along with safety awareness when handling construction or landscaping equipment.
