A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.
43 Stiles Lane, Pine Brook, NJ 07058 + sites in Middlesex, Morris, Hunterdon, Warren, Ocean, Sussex, Monmouth, Bergen, Essex, Mercer, & Somerset counties, New Jersey. Workers will begin each day at the worksite & receive daily transportation to & from job sites in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Two Groundskeeper positions available. Temporary full-time position from Oct 1, 2026 through Apr 30, 2027. 40 hrs/week. Mon-Fri, 7 AM - 3 PM. Sat & Sun work required when necessary. Work hours may include nights & overtime during emergencies & winter storm conditions. Paid bi-weekly at $25-$35/hour.
Overtime rate:
$37.50-$52.50/hour. Raises/bonuses may be offered based on work performance, skill & tenure. Perform snow removal services at residential and commercial properties, including driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks, using hand tools such as shovels and snow brooms, as well as power-driven equipment like walk-behind electric or gas snow blowers. Apply de-icing materials such as rock salt or calcium chloride to maintain safe walking and driving surfaces. Assist with general grounds and facilities maintenance tasks, including litter collection, clearing debris such as leaves and snow from building entrances and walkways, and winterizing irrigation systems. May perform additional seasonal groundskeeping duties during fall and spring, such as raking, mulching, composting leaves, removing dead plant materials, cutting back perennials, mulching landscape beds, and dormant pruning from ground level. May be asked to drive a crew vehicle to job sites if the worker already possesses a valid, noncommercial drivers license; however, a drivers license is not a condition of employment. Workers will not be required to operate a snow plow. Must lift/carry 50 lbs when necessary. Must be able to perform manual, physical labor outside during all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.). No education required. No training required. No experience required. Employer will train. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Employer will assist workers in securing board & lodging. Employer provides at no charge all required tools, supplies, equipment, & employer-paid uniforms. Only lawful or worker-authorized payroll deductions will be made, including voluntary 401(k) participation & repayment of optional advances/loans. Holiday pay available. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, employer will pay or reimburse the worker for initial transportation & subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of employment for workers unable to reasonably return to their residence each day. Employer guarantees work for at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay reasonable return transportation & subsistence to the place of departure, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical & reasonable common carrier for the distance involved.
Daily subsistence:
$16.78/day, max. $68.00/day with receipts. H2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
