Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Grounds Keeper with construction experience and become a vital part of maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. This energetic role combines hands-on landscaping, grounds maintenance, and construction tasks to ensure our facilities are safe, beautiful, and well-kept. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing your skills in landscape maintenance, hardscape installation, and equipment operation to create inviting environments that inspire and impress. Duties Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and gardening to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools safely and efficiently Install, repair, and maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise Identify plants accurately for proper care and pest management; apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of outdoor spaces to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and gardening practices Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping and groundskeeping equipment operation Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation techniques Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, pesticide management, and lawn care best practices Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while operating equipment or handling chemicals Experience in construction or hardscape projects is highly desirable Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions Join us in creating stunning outdoor environments while developing your skills in groundskeeping and construction!
