Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, team-oriented individual to join our Golf Course Maintenance team at our Pine Hills Golf Course located in Manorville, NY. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently, as well as, within a team environment. Previous golf course maintenance experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn all aspects of golf course maintenance. The Golf Course Maintenance position will assist the course maintenance staff in day-to-day operations, perform routine course maintenance to a high standard, and consistently follow safe work practices. candidates will be able to follow directions, take pride in their work, and contribute positively to the department's culture through their professionalism, work ethic, teamwork, and appearance.
Requirements:
Responsibilities Assist with daily course setup, including changing tees, picking up trash, changing cups and flags, repairing divots, and fixing ball marks. Perform daily golf course maintenance, including changing cups on greens, weed-whacking tee areas, and hand-raking bunkers. Operate a variety of turf and grounds maintenance equipment, including fairway, rough, sidewinder, and push mowers. Safely operate golf carts, utility carts, and motor vehicles, including vehicles with manual transmissions. Follow all applicable OSHA safety standards and department safety procedures. Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment. Perform other duties related to golf course maintenance as assigned. Qualification Valid Driver's license. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Availability to work weekends, holidays or overtime as needed Willingness and ability to learn how to safely operate small machinery, tractors, and other maintenance equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. Commitment to following company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
