Duties Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to ensure lush, healthy turf. Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and lawns through pruning, trimming, planting, and watering. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, edging, pruning, and other landscaping activities. Use machinery such as excavators and snow plows to assist with construction projects or seasonal maintenance. Install hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to enhance landscape aesthetics. Conduct tree care including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal with proper techniques to promote healthy growth. Maintain irrigation systems by installing new setups or repairing existing systems to ensure optimal water distribution. Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or garden cleanup to keep properties pristine year-round. Experience Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture with a solid understanding of landscape maintenance practices. Mechanical knowledge of equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, excavators, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with gardening principles including plant selection, soil preparation, and pest management. Hands-on experience using hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming and health assessment. Ability to perform construction-related tasks involving hardscape installations or landscape architecture elements. Prior experience in snow plowing or seasonal outdoor maintenance is a plus.
