Operations Manager Job Summary:
The Landscape Crew Member is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and beautification of outdoor spaces. This position involves performing a variety of landscaping tasks including planting, mulching, weeding, trimming, and maintaining landscaping equipment. The Crew Member will work as part of a team to ensure high-quality results for residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as directed. Clean up, edging, and mulching of landscape beds. Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and bushes. Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machinery. Assist with the installation of hardscaping elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Rake leaves and remove debris from lawns, flower beds, and garden areas. Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment. Communicate with supervisors regarding work progress and any issues encountered. Assist with snow removal and other seasonal services as required. Perform other duties as assigned to meet customer needs.
Qualifications:
Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred. Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers). Knowledge of plant care and horticultural practices. Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform manual labor. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license (required).
Compensation :
Hourly wage based on experience and starts at $16-$21 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and performance-based incentive bonuses. How to
